My name is Dr Helen Barrett. I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Cornwall seeing clients both face to face and online. My mission is to help people heal from difficult experiences, connect with themselves and their values, and thrive personally and professionally.
I know how tough life can be, which leads me to want to help others going through similar challenging circumstances. I have dedicated much of my life to learning and training in Clinical Psychology as well as incorporating understandings from Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness.

To be embodied means to accept ourselves, our different parts and experience wholeness.
This looks like feeling connected to who you are (your Self), feeling at home in your body, feeling able to self-soothe when in distress, being able to identify, express and attend to inner needs as they come up.
